Tropical Depression Kilo Update #2

Please pray for Tropical Depression Kilo to continue weaken and to miss the Hawaiian Islands. According to the Central Pacific Hurricane Center, this storm is currently unorganized and has weakened into a tropical depression, but it is still forecast to strengthen into a hurricane by the middle of next week with the islands of Kauai and Niihau in the current track. Please pray for the safety and preparations of all in the potential path of the storm.

AT 1100 AM HST, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION KILO WAS LOCATED BY U.S. AIR FORCE RESERVE RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT NEAR LAT 14.2 N & LONGITUDE 159.4 W. THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 15 MPH. THIS MOTION IS
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS FOLLOWED BY A TURN TOWARD THE NORTHWEST AND DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED ON MONDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. STRENGTHENING IS EXPECTED AND KILO MAY BECOME A TROPICAL STORM ONCE AGAIN IN THE NEXT 24 TO 48 HOURS.
